As observed by the naked eye, the mud flowed up at a point right next to the door of house number 25F. The mud flowed all over the sidewalk in front of house number 25F and the house next door, then spilled onto the road.
As soon as the above phenomenon occurred, the reporter contacted a Hanoi metro tunnel drilling engineer to learn more about the solution. The initial cause was determined to be that people had previously drilled a well, which was no longer used but had not been filled in, leading to mud following the well during construction.

“The temporary solution is to put up sandbags to prevent the mud from spreading further. The construction unit is also sending tankers to pump the mud away. The solution is to drill to pump out the mud underground, then pour reinforced concrete,” said the engineer.
Regarding the incident of mud overflowing from underground during the construction of the Hanoi metro project, previously, on the afternoon of February 20, mud from underground overflowed to cover an alley on Giang Van Minh Street, Ba Dinh District, and residents were advised to leave their homes to ensure safety. The incident lasted until the afternoon of February 22, when mud continued to overflow at alley 7 on Giang Van Minh Street, Kim Ma Ward, Ba Dinh District, causing difficulties for residents and disrupting business.
