The Student Party Cell of the University of Economics (University of Danang) has just coordinated with the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) to successfully organize the 3rd website design contest "Journey to Unification 2025".

The contest aims to arouse national pride, promote creativity and the ability to apply digital technology of students in promoting the history, culture and people of Vietnam.

The website “Vietnam - National Day Pride” (vinahistory.id.vn) from the student group ZZZ, University of Technology (University of Danang ) won the first prize in the contest.

Chau Chi Hieu, a fourth-year student majoring in Information Technology, said the group built this website with the desire to preserve important historical moments of the country, especially National Day (September 2). Moreover, it is an opportunity to spread patriotism and pride in Vietnam's history.

“The lively online space with images, maps, timelines and virtual tours helps the younger generation access history more easily. I hope you understand and appreciate the value of independence, freedom and peace. From there, you will strive to study and work, contributing your youth to build your homeland and country to become more and more prosperous, modern and civilized,” Hieu expressed.

The website “Touch the beauty of Da Nang” (danasoul.id.vn) by the DanaSoul student group won second prize at the contest.

Vo Thi Tuyet Hoa, a 4th year student majoring in Corporate Finance (University of Economics) expressed that each reader who comes to the website is touching the natural beauty, cultural depth and blending in with the modern life of the city. The product not only promotes the image of the city's tourism but also arouses the pride in each Quang Nam native about a dynamic, modern Da Nang, rich in cultural and historical values; along with the aspirations of a young and vibrant city.

Stemming from the desire to preserve and spread Vietnamese cultural values, the group of students "Tam Kiet" came up with the idea to design and build the website "Hon Tuong Viet" (hontuongviet.id.vn), the work won third prize at the competition.

Nguyen Dinh Khanh, a third-year student majoring in E-commerce (University of Economics) shared: "We want to create a space to preserve the art of Tuong, a unique traditional theatrical form that is gradually being forgotten in modern life. The group believes that bringing Tuong to the online space will help young people easily access and learn about this art form. From there, it will arouse pride, awareness of preservation and responsibility to continue traditional cultural values."

The common highlight of this year’s competition is that all teams developed websites with the domain name “.vn”. The students all felt very proud because this is a national domain name, bearing the mark of Vietnam in the digital space. This not only helps affirm the Vietnamese brand and identity but also creates a sense of solemnity and authenticity for the project.

For Nguyen Dinh Khanh, bringing the art of tuong to a digital platform associated with the domain name “.vn” is like a commitment: to preserve, spread and develop national culture with new-age technology.

Accompanying the program, Mr. Hoang Xuan Hieu, Head of VNNIC Branch in Da Nang City, said that the "Journey to Unification" contest has become a useful playground to help the young generation demonstrate their creativity, technological prowess and spread their love for the Fatherland through each digital product.

"When each young person owns a website with the domain name ".vn", it is not only a technological product, but also a declaration of national pride. Building a website with the domain name ".vn" is a way for young people to affirm their personal brand and together build Vietnam's position on the world digital map", Mr. Hieu emphasized.

According to the Online Presence with Vietnam national domain name program (Decision No. 826/QD-BTTTT dated May 21, 2024), Vietnamese citizens from 18 to 23 years old are given free ID.vn domain name along with a gift set of web design and email with their own domain name, helping them easily start their digital journey. Each “.vn” website is a digital manifesto, contributing to spreading Vietnam's mark globally.
