Accordingly, renewable energy is a prominent field, making a strong mark in the process of restructuring the province's economy. Promoting the natural advantages of climate, solar radiation and wind, Quang Tri has attracted a series of large-scale wind and solar power projects, gradually affirming its position as one of the dynamic localities with a methodical, diverse and sustainable energy development strategy.

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Phan Hoai Nam emphasized: “With the strong direction from the Party Committee, the government and the support of strategic investors, Quang Tri is entering a period of strong breakthrough in energy. The project system spans across all types of renewable energy, from wind power, solar power, gas-fired thermal power to hydropower, waste-to-energy, etc., creating a diverse, modern, sustainable picture in harmony with the environment.

Quang Tri is on the journey to become a clean, green and efficient energy center of the Central region and the whole country." Along with renewable energy, the processing and manufacturing industry has also made steady progress, becoming a driving force to promote economic restructuring towards industrialization. Industrial zones and clusters are planned and invested in synchronous infrastructure, attracting many businesses to invest in the production of high-value products and creating jobs for thousands of workers.

After the merger, Quang Tri province has more potential and advantages to open up a new development horizon for the tourism industry. Tourism development programs are implemented synchronously and flexibly by the province. Promotion, promotion and tourism development linkage activities continue to be promoted, professionally and effectively with many large-scale tourism events organized. The tourism infrastructure system is invested, upgraded and gradually modernized. Currently, many areas, attractions and products are put into effective exploitation, including international-class tourism products. Quang Tri has been affirming its position and brand as an attractive destination on the tourism map of Vietnam, the region and the world.

From a land heavily affected by natural disasters and extreme weather, Quang Tri has effectively exploited the potential of the land, converted the appropriate crop and livestock structure, applied science and technology to production and digital transformation in management, production and consumption of agricultural products.

Many organic production models, high-tech agriculture, and smart agriculture have initially brought about efficiency, both improving the quality and added value of products and protecting the environment and public health. In the trend of globalization and deep integration, Quang Tri proactively adjusts its development strategy, focusing on restructuring the economy with the goal of increasing the proportion of industry and services, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. This is an inevitable step for the province to realize its aspiration of becoming a comprehensive economic center of the North Central and Central Coast regions, a logistics and transit center of goods in the Greater Mekong Subregion.

Quang Tri identifies industry as the main driving force for strong growth in the coming time; services and tourism are indispensable spearheads in the province's economic restructuring strategy; agriculture plays a key role in ensuring food security, social stability and livelihoods of rural people.

Talking about the orientation of tourism development in the coming time, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Dong Ha shared: “Quang Tri aims to position itself as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam; becoming an adventure tourism center of the Asian region with unique images, imbued with local identity.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is expected to become a regional-class tourism center; Dong Hoi and Cua Viet will develop into leading resort and sea tourism centers in the Central region. The province is making the most of its natural advantages (over 191km of coastline, diverse ecosystems, islands, caves, natural heritage), favorable geographical location, unique cultural and historical resources to plan and develop key tourist areas and destinations with international competitiveness.

From a province with many difficulties, Quang Tri is gradually affirming its position as an attractive investment destination, a dynamic, innovative land full of development potential. The achievements in the economic field have been, are and will continue to be a solid pillar, helping Quang Tri make a breakthrough on the journey to build a rich, civilized province, becoming a new driving force for development in the North Central region and the Central Coast.

Clearly defining its role as a strategic transit point on the East-West Economic Corridor, a gateway connecting Vietnam with ASEAN countries, Quang Tri continues to promote inter-regional transport infrastructure connectivity, actively expand international cooperation, creating new momentum for economic growth. In addition to tourism, other services such as: Logistics, transportation, finance, banking, insurance, information technology, post and telecommunications... are also restructured and promoted to strongly support industry, trade and export. Services will become an important bridge in the value chain of the province's economy.

With an accelerating economic foundation, the right integration orientation and a sustainable development strategy, Quang Tri is opening up many bright prospects in the new period. The aspiration for Quang Tri to develop quickly and sustainably is no longer a slogan but has become the driving force for the entire political system and the people of the province.
