Vietnam Post achieves certification for Information Security Management System according to international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2022

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is an international standard for information security management systems issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This certification is widely recognized globally and is an essential foundation for information security management of organizations and businesses in many fields such as finance, technology, healthcare, government and professional services. Enterprises that achieve ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification will have a clear competitive advantage when participating in projects requiring high security, especially in the international market.

As a national postal enterprise with the largest network in the country, Vietnam Post always focuses on building and strengthening the information security system. Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification affirms Vietnam Post's commitment to deploying data protection solutions, ensuring safety throughout the delivery, storage, exploitation and management of data.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, affirmed: "Vietnam Post is gradually implementing the digital transformation roadmap, in which priority is given to strongly developing the information technology system. Achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification marks the first step in the process of improving human capacity, technology, systems and standardizing operations. In the coming time, Vietnam Post will continue to invest, perfect the information security management system and train high-quality human resources, best meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets."

Deputy General Director Pham Anh Tuan said that ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification marks the first step in the digital transformation roadmap of Vietnam Post.

Vietnam Post started implementing the Information Security Management System according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard from February 2024, and completed its application in August 2024 at the Main Data Center and Information Technology Center. Thanks to the system being strictly managed and strictly following international standard processes, customers and partners can be completely assured when cooperating and using Vietnam Post's services. Advanced technology solutions are integrated synchronously to help detect potential risks early, minimize the risk of information security loss, and improve the ability to respond quickly to cyber security incidents.

During the implementation process, Vietnam Post has developed and issued 22 sets of documents/processes in compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022. At the same time, 18 officers of the Corporation have been granted internal audit training certificates according to this international standard. Vietnam Post's information technology system has also been strengthened through the application of advanced information security solutions such as SOC, AV, EDR, helping to ensure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information assets. Reviewing and improving information security management processes is carried out periodically to maintain and improve the efficiency of system operations.

With more than 13,000 service points, covering villages, islands, and remote areas across the country, Vietnam Post is always proactive in protecting data and managing information risks. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification not only helps Vietnam Post maintain the trust of customers and partners but also enhances the reputation and position of the enterprise in the context of international integration, especially when e-commerce and logistics are increasingly developing, leading to increasingly high data security requirements.
