The event, featuring the new BYD Yangwang U8 and Denza Z9 GT, attracted great attention from car enthusiasts and consumers as it provided an opportunity to admire and experience two electric vehicles that are considered pioneers in BYD's technology and design. Yangwang U8 is a pure electric SUV model of BYD's Yangwang sub-brand, positioned in the luxury SUV segment with many outstanding technologies that few current car models in the world have.
The car impresses with its e⁴ platform drive system – consisting of four independent electric motors, one motor per wheel for a total capacity of up to 880 kW (equivalent to 1,180 horsepower). Not only powerful, U8 also possesses outstanding features rarely seen on the market today such as the ability to rotate in place (tank turn), move horizontally (crab walk) and especially the ability to float and move temporarily on water in case of emergency...
Also appearing at the event, the Denza Z9 GT is a pure electric shooting brake model of the Denza brand - a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz. The car combines a sporty design style with a spacious interior, creating a balance between performance and comfort. The new Denza Z9 GT in Vietnam is equipped with three electric motors, with a total capacity of up to 710 kW (about 950 horsepower) allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The vehicle uses a 100 kWh Blade LFP battery pack with a travel distance of up to 630 km according to CLTC standards, meeting the needs of both urban and long-distance use.
With Yangwang U8 and Denza Z9 GT, Vietnamese consumers have more high-end options with bold future technology, and at the same time affirm BYD's increasingly solid position on the global electric vehicle map. Video : Experience the new YangWang U8 electric SUV in Vietnam.
