The Organizing Committee of the 4th Mekong Delta Student Startup Ideas Competition 2026 (INNOBE 2026) has just announced 117 outstanding ideas that have advanced to the final round, including 13 ideas from students in Ca Mau province.

Ca Mau Province Technical Innovation Competition - A breeding ground for creative ideas
Specifically, the student category includes 8 ideas from high schools, including: Research on the effectiveness of using biological protein from tilapia by-products in a smart greenhouse model (Bac Lieu Ethnic Boarding High School); LegalMindAI - A "Virtual Lawyer" system (Bac Lieu High School); pH-sensing biological modeling clay from grapefruit peel and butterfly pea flowers - Environmentally friendly educational material (Bac Lieu Specialized High School); Shrimp floss with lime leaves (Dien Hai High School); Traditional Western Vietnamese cakes based on a closed-loop economic model (Dinh Thanh High School); Research on separating collagen from freshwater fish skin combined with nano curcumin and extracts of Terminalia chebula leaves for the treatment of burns and open wounds (Gia Rai High School); Deodorizing and antibacterial bags from perilla leaves and nano silver solution extracted from red bloodwort leaves (Tan Phong High School); A system to support teaching and learning in local education in Ca Mau province based on AI and RAG model (Vo Van Kiet High School).
The idea "Lang Tea - Herbal tea from sweet potato leaves" won first prize at the final round of the 3rd "Students with Startup and Innovation Ideas" competition - 2025, organized by Bac Lieu University.
In the student category, 5 outstanding ideas from authors and groups of authors from colleges and universities in the province were recognized, including: ALINEGG (Ca Mau Community College); Osen 3F - Circular economy enhancing the value chain from snails (Ca Mau Community College); TRÀM AROMA - Clean, indigenous incense from Ca Mau (Binh Duong University branch in Ca Mau); LangTea - Herbal tea from sweet potato leaves (Bac Lieu University); and the Ca Mau sea cucumber salt specialty project (Bac Lieu University).
The idea "Project for making salted fish and sea cucumber specialties from Ca Mau" (Bac Lieu University) reached the finals of INNOBE 2026 in the student category.
The INNOBE 2026 final round is scheduled to take place on March 28th at Tra Vinh University. This is not only a startup competition but also an opportunity for contestants to refine their ideas, connect with experts and businesses, and access resources to support project development.
Having 13 ideas in the final round is an impressive result, further affirming the creative capacity, ability to apply science and technology, and the daring spirit of Ca Mau students in their entrepreneurial journey.
