Ca Mau: Helping farmers access e-commerce platforms.

Over the past period, the Ca Mau City Post Office has collaborated with the City Farmers' Association to support farmers in digital transformation in agricultural production and consumption. This activity contributes to building a network connecting farmers and businesses/retailers, creating a sustainable value chain for both farmers and businesses.

Accordingly, the Ca Mau City Post Office organized training sessions on the application of information technology in agriculture , guiding farmers to use e-commerce platforms to access a wider consumer market.

The Ca Mau City Post Office also utilizes e-commerce platforms and social media to promote and sell its products. In addition, it operates an e-commerce platform specializing in agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, as well as regional specialties, to directly connect with businesses and retailers, thereby boosting product sales.

The Ca Mau City Post Office, together with farmers in Tan Thanh commune, Ca Mau City, harvested cantaloupe and brought the agricultural product to the e-commerce platform buudien.vn.

Ms. Le Phuong Lien, Deputy Director of Ca Mau City Post Office, said: “Coordinating with the City Farmers' Association to support farmers in digital transformation in agricultural production and consumption is an extremely important and meaningful task. In particular, we have successfully sold over 2 tons of cantaloupe grown by farmers in Tan Thanh commune. This is an important step, affirming the effectiveness of digital transformation in agriculture.”
