Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Ca Mau, said that Ca Mau is currently one of the largest seafood centers in the country, with a crab production of over 36,000 tons per year. Ca Mau's sea crabs, raised in the mangrove ecosystem, have long become a reputable brand, favored by both domestic and international markets.
"The province is implementing many strategic directions to sustainably develop the crab industry: building a value chain that meets international standards; promoting the application of science and technology; developing the molting crab model; linking crab products with ecotourism; expanding international cooperation and attracting investment in deep processing; and strengthening communication on digital platforms to make 'Ca Mau Crab' a national brand," Comrade Pham Van Thieu emphasized.

Provincial leaders expressed gratitude for the support from the central government, and the cooperation of businesses and the people in organizing the festival.
Comrade Pham Van Thieu affirmed: "With the determination of the entire political system and the joint efforts of the business community, Ca Mau will continue to assert its position as the national fisheries center, a sustainable destination where 'Forest fragrance - Sea taste' blend into the unique identity of the Ca Mau peninsula."
