On April 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency concluded its investigation and proposed that the same-level People's Procuracy prosecute Nguyen Phuong Hang (52 years old, General Director of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company) and four accomplices for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals."
According to the case file, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang and her accomplices took advantage of and used 12 social media channels to livestream, violating the privacy and affecting the reputation and honor of many individuals such as Mr. Vo Nguyen Hoai Linh (artist Hoai Linh), Ms. Nguyen Thi My Oanh (singer Vy Oanh), Ms. Dang Thi Han Ni (journalist, master of law Han Ni), Mr. Huynh Minh Hung (singer Dam Vinh Hung), Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tien (singer Thuy Tien) and her husband Le Cong Vinh, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien (Deputy editor-in-chief of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper)...

During the investigation, defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang stated that the information she said during livestream and posted on Facebook about the above individuals was all unverified and unsubstantiated information she read online.
During the investigation, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang admitted to making offensive statements to the above people.
The case file records that 10 victims requested defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang to compensate for damages.
Accordingly, singer Dam Vinh Hung requested Ms. Hang and her accomplices to publicly apologize and compensate for material damages of 43 billion VND because her statements offended him.
During the investigation, Ms. Hang said that because she had made statements related to artist Hoai Linh, singer Dam Vinh Hung, who was close to Mr. Hoai Linh, made "offensive" statements to Ms. Hang first.
Thuy Tien and Cong Vinh's couple requested Ms. Hang and her accomplices to compensate for material losses of 30.4 billion VND and compensate for mental losses caused by their insulting statements to Ms. Tien and Mr. Vinh.
Singer Vy Oanh has not requested material compensation but has requested Ms. Phuong Hang and her accomplices to apologize for their insulting statements. Journalist Han Ni has requested Ms. Hang and her accomplices to compensate for damages according to the law.
Artist Hoai Linh, journalist Duc Hien, Ms. Le Thi Giau and Ms. Truong Thi Viet Ha did not request material compensation but asked Ms. Hang and her accomplices to apologize for their offensive statements. Ms. Dinh Thi Lan did not request compensation.
