Below is how to make pork belly that is not greasy, has a light aroma, is delicious with vegetables, and is also very simple to make.

Ingredients: 500g pork belly, garlic powder, egg whites, sugar, salt, cornstarch, glutinous rice flour.

Making:

Step 1: Wash the pork and drain. Cut the meat into thin, even slices. This helps the meat cook evenly and have a nice color. A small tip is to freeze the meat, which will make it easier to slice.

Step 2: Take a handful of crushed garlic, squeeze out the juice and pour it over the pork slices, using your hands to mix evenly. Note: Do not mix minced garlic directly with the meat to avoid the burnt smell when the garlic burns.

Step 3: Add 0.5 teaspoon (3g) of salt and 2 teaspoons (12g) of cornstarch, use your hands to rub evenly over the surface of the pork.

Step 4: After the mixture thickens, add 0.5 teaspoon (3g) of sugar, then add a total of 3 teaspoons (18g) of glutinous rice flour, divided into 3 times. After adding the first glutinous rice flour and stirring well, add 1 teaspoon of egg white (6ml) to fix the glutinous rice flour. Next, add cornstarch and glutinous rice flour in a ratio of 2:3 to make the meat crispier.

Step 5: Stretch the meat before grilling to make it crispy and well cooked.

Step 6: Turn on low heat, add 1 tablespoon (30ml) of cooking oil to the pan and heat. Add the stretched meat slices directly to the pan and fry until the meat turns golden brown and then serve.

This garlic marinated pork belly dish has a beautiful shape, is fatty but not greasy, has a light garlic aroma, and is delicious when served with rolled lettuce.
