Central agency officials use fake blue license plates for Land Cruisers

On the morning of June 30, at the Van Don Expressway Toll Station ( Quang Ninh ), the working group of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department) stopped and inspected a Land Cruiser VX with blue license plate 80B-9189 due to many suspicious signs.

At that time, there were 5 people in the car, including one man and four women. After checking, the police identified the driver as Mr. N.D.H. (residing in Hoang Mai, Hanoi ).

During the inspection, the task force discovered that the car used the blue license plate 80B-9189, which did not match the vehicle registration issued by the Hanoi Police. The authorities also discovered that the car used a license plate flipping device with the license plate 29A-455.65.

Checking the vehicle registration database system of the Traffic Police Department determined that license plate 80B-9189 was issued to a vehicle under the management of the Administration Department - Government Office .

Driver N.D.H. admitted that his Land Cruiser VX had license plate 29A-455.65. He had installed a license plate flipping device on his car, with one side showing the correct license plate and the other side showing the license plate 80B-9189.

The male driver then presented the registration and inspection papers of the vehicle with license plate 29A-455.65 that he owned.

Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 2 is verifying signs of profiteering by N.D.H. when driving a car with a fake blue license plate through toll stations, appropriating the road fee of car 80B-9189.

It is known that N.D.H. is working at a central agency.

The case is currently being handled by Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 2 in coordination with the Investigation Police Agency of Van Don District Police (Quang Ninh) according to regulations.

Previously, the Traffic Police Department received a request from the Administration - Management Department II (Government Office) to inspect and clarify the unit's blue-plate car with license plate 80B - 9189 that was not in operation but had money deducted from the non-stop road toll collection account.

Realizing there was a suspicious case of using a fake blue license plate, the authorities got involved and by 10am on June 30th discovered the above case.
