TPO - In preparation for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam starting tomorrow, this morning (June 25), the staff and teachers who will be taking the exam have started meeting to disseminate the exam supervision work. The exam regulations stipulate that the invigilators must draw lots for the positions to perform their duties in the exam rooms.

Seal all unused rooms

Given the importance of the exam, the High School Graduation Exam Regulations have strict regulations on the roles and tasks of each force participating in each stage of the exam.

The Head of the Examination Site will be responsible for managing all activities at the examination site; preserving, using the examination questions and preserving the examination papers at the examination site. Ensure that rooms not in use during the examination session are locked and sealed before each examination session.

Organize dissemination to candidates about regulations on protecting State secrets with exam questions and violations of exam regulations.

The head of the examination site will also coordinate with the police force to deploy solutions and technical equipment to prevent candidates from cheating in the exam when requested by the Examination Council or the Provincial Examination Steering Committee.

Before each exam session, the Head of the exam site must have a plan to ensure that the devices for collecting and transmitting personal information of all those on duty at the exam site must be kept in the on-duty room. The devices are locked and sealed until the end of the exam session.

The head of the examination site is required to promptly report any unusual incidents (if any) to the Examination Council, especially incidents related to the examination papers and incidents affecting the rights of candidates. Timely exchange with the police force information affecting the security, safety and protection of state secrets with the examination papers to coordinate handling according to regulations.

Absolutely no creative handling of situations

For the invigilator, the exam regulations stipulate the role and responsibility of supervising the exam in the exam room according to the regulations. During the time the candidate is taking the exam, the invigilator is not allowed to leave the exam room (except in cases of force majeure and must receive the consent of the Head of the exam site).

The invigilator is also responsible for preserving the exam papers from the time of receipt until the end of the exam session.

The exam supervisor has the right to draw up a record of the candidates if he/she discovers any violations of the regulations.

The invigilator must draw lots for the position of invigilator and how to number the exam room.

In case of an unusual situation occurring during the exam, the invigilator must not leave the exam room but must notify the Head of the exam site immediately through the supervisor outside the exam room for consideration and decision before handling.

In addition to the invigilators, there are also exam room supervisors working outside the exam room.

Examination room supervisors only perform their duties in the assigned area. Each examination room supervisor supervises no more than 3 adjacent examination rooms on the same floor and in the same building.

In case a candidate is allowed to leave the examination room, this force is responsible for monitoring the candidate to ensure that he/she does not contact or exchange with other candidates during the entire process of leaving the examination room.

Before the exam took place, the Ministry of Education and Training had set up many delegations to inspect the exam preparation work in localities. One of the contents that the leaders of this Ministry reminded localities was to thoroughly train the exam regulations for officials and teachers participating in the exam organization work.

In particular, when situations arise, officers and teachers should pay attention to handling them in accordance with regulations and rules, and absolutely not be creative on their own. In case of new, difficult situations that exceed their authority, they can report to the Examination Council for guidance.

Inspecting the exam preparation work in Thai Binh province a few days ago, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son emphasized the content: "Teaching in class, teachers are free to be creative, but when invigilating exams, they must follow the regulations. Any questions should be asked immediately to the higher-level exam steering committee, not hidden, not handled on your own."
