On May 21, the contractor was urgently constructing the final items, ready to put Tra Khuc 3 Bridge into operation in June. This is the first steel arch bridge in Quang Ngai.

At the construction site, workers are working on the joints between the bridge spans, railings at the "viewpoints" along the iron arch bridge... These are the final items of the bridge.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Su - commander of Tra Khuc 3 bridge construction - said that the southern approach road has been completed, the northern approach road has been poured with aggregate, and will be blown with dust and paved with asphalt in the next few days.

"Almost all the construction work has been completed. We are speeding up to complete all the work before June 20," said Mr. Su.

The Tra Khuc 3 Bridge project has a three-span structure of concrete-filled steel pipe arches to tension and pull load-bearing cables. This is also the first steel arch bridge project in Quang Ngai.

The bridge's architecture is even more eye-catching when painted in striking red. People praised the bridge for its beauty, making the contractor very happy to contribute to the construction of the project.

Mr. Tuyen (living south of the bridge) said: "The bridge's architecture is very impressive. My hometown is about to have an extremely beautiful project. Hopefully the bridge will help the economy develop."

On the north bank, although the bridge is not yet completed, the area is bustling with food and beverage services. This place has become a destination for people in the afternoon.

The Tra Khuc 3 bridge project plays an extremely important role in connecting traffic between the western area of ​​Tu Nghia district and the center of Son Tinh district. When the bridge is put into use, it will end the scene of going in a detour of dozens of kilometers as before.

Not only that, when the bridge is put into operation, it will connect two important traffic routes: National Highway 24B and Provincial Road 623B.

Calculating the name of the first steel arch bridge in Quang Ngai

Related information, in early April, the Quang Ngai Province Advisory Council for Naming Roads and Public Works met to discuss the naming of the Tra Khuc 3 Bridge project and agreed to choose the name Ha Thuan.

Recently, the Department of Justice said that naming the bridge "Ha Thuan" is not appropriate. The reason is because "Ha Thuan" is not in the bank of street names and public works of Quang Ngai.

To ensure legal regulations in naming public works, the Department of Construction has requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to give opinions on the use of this name.

At the same time, consider whether it is necessary to add the name Ha Thuan to the bank of street names and public works as a legal basis to keep the name for the above steel arch bridge.

Tra Khuc 3 Bridge Project is 710m long, 22.9m wide; the bridge surface is 22m wide, the approach road is 26m wide to meet current and future traffic; the total investment is 850 billion VND, invested by the Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.

The project will start construction at the end of 2022 and be completed by the end of 2025. The project will have a sign welcoming the 21st Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress.

This is the 7th bridge across Tra Khuc River, the first steel arch bridge in Quang Ngai.
