The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said it has just supported activities to welcome the first Indian wedding guests in 2024.
The wedding took place over 3 days, from January 19 to 21, at the Sheraton Grand Da Nang Resort and Convention Center (Truong Sa Street, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District).
To accommodate wedding guests, the Indian couple booked all 258 rooms at the Sheraton Grand Da Nang Resort and Convention Center.
Many Indian guests tend to have long weddings, usually lasting from 3 to 5 days.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the Indian family surveyed many times and then decided to choose Da Nang as the place to hold the wedding ceremony for the bride Kashmira and groom Inderdeep. Nearly 500 guests, service staff and more than 1 ton of materials, costumes and props were transported from India to Da Nang to prepare for the wedding.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has coordinated with relevant agencies to immediately implement activities to welcome this wedding group. The Tourism Promotion Center has coordinated with the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company - AHT to display the wedding welcome message on the LED screen at the immigration area when the group arrives at the airport. The tourism industry also coordinated with relevant agencies at the airport to support and facilitate the quick clearance of goods and luggage.
For the Indian market, to organize large-scale wedding events, meeting strict requirements from facilities to professional services is indispensable.
During the wedding ceremony, many activities were held at the resort with the participation of hundreds of guests.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, in the coming months, there are expected to be 5 wedding events of Indian billionaires in Da Nang with a scale of 200 to 350 guests, held from 3 to 5 days. Hotels in Da Nang also received dozens of wedding events of couples from Japan and some other countries.
