The Boeing 787-10 is one of the newest and most modern versions of the Boeing wide-body aircraft family. It is also the largest passenger aircraft in Vietnam today with a length of over 68 meters, a commercial payload of 56-60 tons and a maximum range of nearly 12,000 km. The aircraft has a configuration of 367 seats with 2 business class (24 seats) and economy class (343 seats).

The Boeing 787-10 has many technological breakthroughs and possesses modern features that help to meet the needs of passengers, such as spacious space, comfortable seats and a rich entertainment system. LED lighting, air humidity and pressure are optimized to bring a pleasant feeling to passengers. Business class seats are arranged in a staggered fishbone pattern and can be completely reclined, allowing passengers to enjoy a spacious and private space.

Notably, the new generation aircraft is famous for its fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness thanks to the integration of advanced technology that helps reduce 25% of fuel per seat and emissions compared to previous generation aircraft.

With the receipt of the new Boeing 787-10, Vietnam Airlines now owns a fleet of nearly 100 aircraft. Of which, the wide-body fleet has a total of 5 Boeing 787-10s; 11 Boeing 787-9s and 14 Airbus A350s.

Wide-body aircraft are mainly operated on international routes between Vietnam and Northeast Asia, Europe, Australia, the US and on domestic routes between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The continuous expansion of the fleet helps Vietnam Airlines ensure capacity to serve passengers during peak periods. This is especially meaningful in the context of the aviation industry's aircraft shortage due to the impact of global aircraft engine recalls by manufacturers.
