For the first time in 75 years of construction and development, Ferrari has just marked a turning point in its history by launching the first super sports SUV segment called Purosangue. After its launch, Ferrari Purosangue will compete with the most expensive super products of Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Ferrari has chosen an SUV design combining a 4-door Crossover body with a modest height of 1,589 mm, different from its competitors. That means the Ferrari Purosangue will have less space but in return, it will have a more elegant appearance, all the car details are more delicately designed.
Despite its SUV design, the Ferrari Purosangue is still designed with cut lines to optimize aerodynamics. The front of the Ferrari Purosangue stands out with a large honeycomb grille combined with large front air intakes to optimize engine cooling performance. The sharp headlights with angular design make the car look extremely aggressive.
The Ferrari Purosangue's waistline is tapered, the roof is made of carbon fiber, and the wheels are 22 inches at the front and 23 inches at the rear, which are surprisingly compact, and the car has ceramic brakes. Most notably, the car has rear-hinged passenger doors, which means the doors can open in reverse like those of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, although the opening angle is not as spacious as its rival.
Behind the Ferrari Purosangue, you'll find an integrated roof spoiler, a very elegant taillight cluster, and an impressive rear diffuser and quad exhaust system.
Ferrari Purosangue uses a 6.5L V12 gasoline engine, combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from Magna Powertrain. This engine produces 715 horsepower and 716 Nm of torque. Thanks to that, this super SUV only needs 3.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-100km with a maximum speed of 310 km/h. This terrible power helps Purosangue become the most powerful SUV in the world .
While the Ferrari Purosangue was not Ferrari's first four-wheel drive car, it was the first to feature hill descent control, something that would have been unthinkable 20 years ago. The car featured a plethora of air vents that increased the car's aerodynamics while also cooling the engine and brakes. It was also the first Ferrari to feature active anti-roll control. Active anti-roll bars had become commonplace on large luxury cars, but Ferrari achieved its roll control through the use of electronically controlled spool-valve dampers. However, the Ferrari Purosangue's off-road capabilities were somewhat limited compared to its rivals, with a ground clearance of just 183 mm.
The SUV-crossover design offers an attractive appearance, but in return, the Ferrari Purosangue's interior space is quite cramped compared to its competitors. Although not comfortable, it has a panoramic sunroof. The luggage compartment has the largest capacity of Ferrari's house, 473 liters. The rear seats of the Ferrari Purosangue 2023 can be completely folded down to increase the volume of the luggage compartment in the car, both rows of seats have a center console.
To help the driver focus on controlling the speed, the entertainment screen has been designed to be located on the passenger side instead of the center position like its competitors. Ferrari Purosangue uses a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with a flat, sporty bottom and many flexible buttons.
The 2023 Ferrari Purosangue's equipment is very different, looking like half the interior of a Ferrari 296 GTB model and duplicated in two. There's no large central touchscreen, instead both the driver and passenger get their own large 10.2-inch display.
In addition, the car still has all the high-end experiences: Burmester 3D High-End Surround sound system, 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless charging, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, 2 independent rear seats with 4-zone air conditioning system for each passenger, car ceiling with optional carbon fiber or glass
The Ferrari Purosangue super SUV model was registered for industrial design copyright in Vietnam since mid-August 2022 but was not officially announced until May 2023.
According to Ferrari, the Purosangue model will reach customers in Europe in mid-2023 and has already received more orders than expected. There is currently no exact information about the time the Ferrari Purosangue 2023 will arrive in Vietnam.
There is currently no information about the price of the Ferrari Purosangue in the Vietnamese market. Meanwhile, in the UK, this super SUV has a starting price of 313,120 pounds (about 8.9 billion VND).
