On the morning of March 24th, the project "Renovation of the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long road from Asia Park to the border with Cam Le district" (Hai Chau district) was completed and handed over.
The project "Renovation of riverside sidewalks along Thang Long road from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le district" is invested by the Da Nang City Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects, with a total investment of 44.2 billion VND.
The project commenced in May 2024 with the aim of contributing to urban beautification and creating green spaces for people to play, stroll, and exercise .
The project is being implemented along the Thang Long road.
This is the first project in the city to propose planting maple trees to create a scenic focal point and provide shade for the sidewalks along Thang Long Street and the Cam Le River.
In addition, the existing shade trees on the sidewalks of Thang Long Street will be preserved, and unsuitable trees and species that negatively impact the overall landscape will be relocated; new trees such as: cymbidium, bauhinia, bamboo, and rose will be planted.
The riverside sidewalks along the route are 15-21.6m wide; the bicycle paths are made of washed stone.
Speaking at the project completion announcement ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said: "The sidewalks of Thang Long Street will become a safe, clean, and beautiful space, encouraging people to walk, contributing to building a civilized and modern Da Nang city. The city government will continue to strive to improve infrastructure, better meeting the needs of the people and the requirements of the city's socio-economic development in the coming time."
The walking path is paved with natural stone and features stone benches, seating areas, and exercise equipment.
The riverside railings are decorated with symbols of Da Nang city.
Investing in two smart public restroom complexes with automatic sensor-based door opening and closing systems, using high-end, antibacterial, and environmentally friendly interior furnishings…
In addition, the project also includes the construction of a new general decorative lighting system for the entire project, illuminating walkways.
Residents now have ample space to stroll and enjoy themselves on the newly renovated sidewalks along the Cam Le River.
