According to information from Can Tho City, the city currently has 1,940 community digital technology teams deployed in communes, wards, districts, and hamlets. These teams operate with a core force of youth union members, local officials, and volunteers, directly assisting people in accessing and using essential digital platforms in their lives.

Citizens are guided through the administrative procedures.
The core task of community digital technology teams is to guide people in using online public services, installing and activating electronic identity accounts, making cashless payments, and utilizing digital applications for learning, production, and business.
In addition, these groups also participate in disseminating knowledge about information security, skills in protecting personal data, and identifying fraudulent activities in cyberspace, contributing to raising digital awareness in the community.
According to the report, Can Tho City currently has more than 1,000 dedicated and part-time officials responsible for digital transformation in agencies, units, and localities. Digital infrastructure, digital platforms, and digital services continue to be actively deployed to better serve citizens and businesses.
Promoting the role of community-based digital technology groups is considered a crucial solution to bring digital transformation to a practical level at the grassroots, while simultaneously spreading the "Digital Literacy Movement" among the community. This is also one of the concrete approaches to implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science , technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, placing the people at the center and as the subjects of the digital transformation process.
