On the morning of January 29 (the first day of Tet), Van Don International Airport welcomed the first flight of the new year At Ty 2025.
VietJet Air flight number VJ230 departed from Ho Chi Minh City carrying 154 passengers, landing at Van Don International Airport at 8:30 am. Representatives of the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, Van Don District and Van Don International Airport organized a welcoming ceremony, presented flowers and lucky money to the passengers on the flight.
All passengers were tourists from the southern provinces and cities who came to Quang Ninh for sightseeing, tourism and visiting relatives. Most passengers felt very comfortable and happy to receive this warm and enthusiastic welcome.

From January 29 to February 5 (ie from the first to the eighth day of the Lunar New Year), Van Don International Airport will have 12 flights taking off and landing on the Ho Chi Minh City - Van Don route, carrying thousands of tourists to Quang Ninh for sightseeing and early spring travel. In the coming time, the unit is continuing to promote the opening of new domestic routes to Phu Quoc or Nha Trang, and at the same time, resuming flights to Can Tho and Da Nang.
For the international market, the unit will promote the opening of new international routes in the form of series charter and charter (private flights for tourists of a travel agency) to Van Don, focusing on the group of routes from China and Korea. Thereby, promising a new year of "bumper harvest" for the tourism and service industry of Quang Ninh taking off in 2025.
