Former Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee receives a warning.

Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to impose an administrative disciplinary measure in the form of a warning against Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province for the 2016-2021 term, for violations and shortcomings in his work and for which he had already been disciplined by the Party.

The above decision takes effect from September 23, 2024. The disciplinary action will be implemented from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1604 dated July 31, 2024, of the Central Inspection Committee .

On April 23rd and 24th, 2024, the Central Inspection Committee (CIC) held its 40th meeting in Hanoi .

At this meeting, the Central Disciplinary Committee reviewed a report proposing disciplinary action against several Party members who violated regulations within the An Giang Provincial Party Committee.

The Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of An Giang province, and Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing his assigned duties and responsibilities, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing serious consequences, negative public opinion, and diminishing the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the extent that disciplinary action must be considered and taken.

Based on Party regulations, the Central Disciplinary Committee decided to issue a warning to Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh.
