Specifically, at around 12:20 p.m. on June 19, Coast Guard ship 8021 received information that fishing vessel KG 90991 TS, captained by Phan Van O, with crew member Nguyen Vu Nguyen, born in 1998, residing in Soc Son, Hon Dat, Kien Giang , had an accident due to a winch winding while working.
The accident caused Mr. Nguyen Vu Nguyen to suffer a soft tissue injury to his left arm, the wound was deep and complicated.
Immediately, officers, soldiers, and medical staff of Coast Guard ship 8021, Coast Guard Region 3 Command urgently approached, brought the injured crew member onto the ship to perform first aid, wash the wound, stitch 20 stitches, bandage...
After surgery, the patient was awake. The medical team warmed him up, gave him medicine and milk to drink.
At 1:40 p.m. the same day, when the victim's health condition was stable and the wound had stopped bleeding, Coast Guard ship 8021 handed over crew member Nguyen Vu Nguyen to ship KG 90991 TS to bring him ashore for further monitoring and treatment./.
