Gold price continues to increase, close to the 127 million VND/tael mark

On the morning of August 25, domestic gold prices continued to rise, approaching the 127 million VND/tael mark, reaching a new peak.

When opening, gold trading enterprises listed the price of SJC gold bars at 125.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 126.9 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of last week.

For gold rings, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 118.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 121.3 million VND/tael (sell), 300,000 VND/tael higher than last weekend.

Phu Quy Group increased by 200,000 VND/tael each way, to 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 121.5 million VND/tael (sell).

Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited continues to list at 119 million VND/tael (buy) - 122 million VND/tael (sell).

At the current level, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings are both at their highest in history.

Domestic gold prices increased despite the world precious metal prices falling. This morning, the international gold price decreased by 10 USD/ounce, trading at 3,362 USD/ounce, converted to be about 20.4 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

Thus, compared to last weekend, this difference increased by about 700,000 VND/tael.

Two Kitco surveys of gold prices this week mostly forecast higher prices.

The survey of 13 experts showed that 8 people thought prices would increase, 5 people saw prices going sideways.

According to an online survey of 194 investors, 59% said prices would increase, 18% said prices would decrease, and the rest said prices would remain stable.
