On June 7 and 8, the weather was extremely hot, tens of thousands of tourists flocked to Sam Son beach ( Thanh Hoa ) to cool off. At times, the beach was so packed with people that tourists had to jostle to get into the sea.
According to statistics from the Department of Culture and Information of Sam Son city, this locality currently has 1,015 accommodation establishments. However, the number of guests booking rooms on weekends reaches about 80% of the total number of rooms, without the situation of "room shortage" as in previous years.

On the afternoon of June 7, thousands of tourists flocked to beaches A, B, C, D, making the area crowded.
By the morning of June 8, the flow of shoppers also caused traffic jams on Nguyen Du Street, the section passing through the church area in Trung Son Ward and the section passing through Bac Son Ward.
It is worth mentioning that despite the large number of visitors, hotel owners and accommodation establishments in Sam Son have noticed that this year's tourism trends are much different from previous years.

Ms. Tuyen, a hotel owner on Ho Xuan Huong Street, shared: “In previous years, during the summer holidays, most of the weekdays were full. But this year, the beginning and middle of the week are usually quiet, and only the weekends are crowded. There was a time when my family’s two hotels with nearly 300 rooms were fully booked on the weekend.”
According to Ms. Tuyen, not only are there few rooms available at the beginning of the week, many hotel owners also face difficulties when tourists pay low room rates while food prices increase.
Similarly, a manager of two hotels on Ho Xuan Huong and Le Loi streets also said that the number of guests this summer is uneven. The two hotels he manages have a total of 260 rooms, but are only fully booked on weekends.

“This year, the number of guests from government agencies and units is very low. It is very possible that localities are focusing on restructuring and streamlining their apparatus, so they have not organized tourism activities. Compared to previous years, this year hotels and restaurants may lose revenue,” said this manager.
The leader of the Department of Culture and Information of Sam Son city expressed hope that by early July, when state agencies have stabilized their organization, the number of tourists flocking to Sam Son will increase sharply again.
