Cao Bang: 80th Anniversary of Cultural Sector's Traditional Day August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025

On August 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCT) held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Be Thanh Tinh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Trinh Truong Huy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, departments, branches, armed forces; former leaders of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector through the periods and distinguished artists; leaders of a number of communes and wards.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the culture, sports and tourism sector.

Inheriting the 80-year tradition of the industry, under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, the Cao Bang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised on the issuance of many plans, projects, and policies on heritage conservation, building cultural life, developing sports , tourism, and grassroots information. The whole province currently has 271 historical - cultural relics, scenic spots; by 2024, the rate of cultural families will reach 85%; agencies, units, and enterprises will meet cultural standards at 95%; cultural hamlets and residential groups will be over 80%; and residential areas will have cultural houses at over 97%. In the period 2015 - 2025, the province will welcome more than 12 million visitors, an increase of 285.6% compared to the previous period; tourism revenue will be over 6,301 billion VND, an increase of 1,402%.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the efforts and contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the culture, sports and tourism sector through the ages. He requested the entire sector to continue to promote the glorious tradition, thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the guiding viewpoints of the Central Government and the province on national development, development of culture, sports and tourism in the new era - the era of national development. Effectively implement the key program on tourism and service development in the period of 2026 - 2030. Promote comprehensive digital transformation in the culture sector; develop digital culture. Mobilize resources and active participation of the whole society in cultural activities; synchronously and effectively implement tasks on building and developing culture and people of Cao Bang to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development.
