With this feature, customers can easily refund tickets on the website and mobile application.
With the new feature, CGV audiences can easily cancel their pre-booked screenings and re-book them for a more convenient time. Specifically, for customers using online payment methods such as ATM cards, international cards, and e-wallets, refunded tickets will be converted into gift cards with corresponding values and integrated into the account used for the next ticket booking. Customers paying using gift cards, vouchers, and membership points will be refunded the corresponding value and expiration date. Gift cards will be valid for 1 month from the date the customer refunds the ticket. In particular, customers can combine multiple gift cards to pay for another transaction.
The refund period is 60 minutes before the show starts. Each account can get a maximum of 2 refunds per month.
Ticket refund process
On this occasion, CGV also introduced a new feature that allows customers to conveniently purchase popcorn and drinks combos online, without having to buy them together with movie tickets. Similar to when booking tickets, customers can pre-select the theater cluster as well as the time to receive popcorn and drinks when paying on the CGV Cinemas application.
After many years of development, the CGV application has officially surpassed the milestone of 7 million customer accounts regularly using the service.
