On January 11th, in Xuyen Moc commune, the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association organized the program "Tet of Compassion - Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026," giving Tet gifts to the children of farmer members in the commune.
Attendees included: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Lo Quan Hiep, Director of the Social Insurance Department of Ho Chi Minh City; and Truong Thanh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association presented 25 Tet gifts to children of disadvantaged farmer members.
This is one of the practical activities in the series of programs "Tet of Compassion - Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026".

Over the years, the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, in coordination with various levels and sectors, has strived to effectively implement social welfare policies, caring for the material and spiritual lives of its farmer members, especially those in difficult circumstances.
Many practical programs and activities have been implemented, helping farmer members strongly promote their will to strive for self-improvement, not only escaping poverty but also becoming wealthy, becoming skilled farmers and entrepreneurs, exemplary urban farmers, and contributing to building a Vietnamese agriculture with many outstanding achievements.

In particular, the "Tet of Compassion - Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026" program is a practical model, with vivid and humane communication, contributing to the effective promotion of sustainable poverty reduction and socio -economic development of the city.
Thanks to fundraising efforts from the program, tens of thousands of heartwarming Tet gifts have been delivered directly to poor and near-poor farming households. Sturdy houses of compassion have been built to help people settle down and make a living.

The provision of production tools and means of livelihood provides further motivation for farmers to improve their lives and develop production.
In addition, there are charitable savings accounts that provide people with extra support during times of illness and disease.

These scholarships, filled with love, empower the children of farmer association members to attend school.
Many of these students are children of farmer association members who have received scholarships for many years in a row, excelling in their studies and actively participating in association activities and farmers' movements in their localities.
Many orphans who received persistent support from the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association have now passed entrance exams to universities and colleges or have stable jobs.
This is a vivid testament to their determination to overcome difficulties, their aspiration to excel, and their hope for a brighter future, where they will become useful young citizens for their homeland and country.
