More intense, more dramatic.

On the evening of August 28th, in Hanoi , Vietnam Television held a press conference to provide information about the "New Generation Students 2024" program.

The essence of the new generation of students is not limited to the classroom; it also lies in truly living and experiencing the passionate spirit of youth.

At the press conference, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Thanh Hai emphasized that the qualities of the new generation of students are not limited to the classroom but also encompass truly living and experiencing the passionate spirit of youth.

"Here, you get to meet new people and experience new circumstances, thereby unleashing your creativity to carry out projects that benefit the community and spread youthful enthusiasm in society. When participating in the program, teams should always be themselves and give their best in this meaningful competition," - the Deputy General Director of VTV expressed.

The "New Generation Students" 2024 competition generated excitement right from the start, with over 200 applications from 50 universities nationwide. Aiming for a more engaging, challenging, and dramatic competition, the program selected only the 8 strongest teams to advance.

Instead of the organizing committee traveling to schools to select teams, this year the decision-making power is given to the universities. Each university will proactively choose the best projects and teams.

Eight teams were divided into four groups, competing against each other to select four teams to advance through the following rounds: project presentation on stage, project presentation, debate, and persuading teammates.

This year's program features the special participation of celebrities.

Eight projects from eight universities and colleges have qualified for the competition, covering fields related to culture, history, and sustainable development, all sharing a common aspiration to contribute to the community and the nation.

Notable examples include the "Aloe Vera Extract Food Wrap" project ( Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology); the "Gieo" project (Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam) helping the Vietnamese community abroad learn about Vietnamese culture; and the "Tell Me" project (Hanoi Medical University) supporting mental health care for family members of inpatients in hospitals in Hanoi...

This year's program also features the special support of celebrities and influential figures in the community, including MC Khanh Vy, Double 2T, teacher Beo - Tran Tuan Dat, and Helly Tong, to help the teams realize their projects.

The judging panel for this year's program includes Professor Tran Xuan Bach, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Ms. Ha Thu Thanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Institute of Board Members; journalist Ta Bich Loan, Head of Entertainment Program Production, Vietnam Television; Dr. Nguyen Thu Huong, President of the Women Leaders International Network (WLIN) & Women Entrepreneurs Network (WSUN); MC Thanh Mai; and the final judge, the talented "Gen Z" entrepreneur Tran Tuan Minh, founder and chairman of the startup organization UpYouth.

BTC will award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 1 prize for the most popular team. The first prize for the winning team is worth 100 million VND, along with the opportunity to invest in their project from partner organizations, a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training .

"New Generation Students" will air on VTV3 at 8 PM every Sunday, with the first episode premiering on September 1, 2024.
