Ahead of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, hotels in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City have implemented a series of preparation activities to meet the increasing demand for tourism , while improving customer experience.

Increase room service

A representative of the Grand Saigon Hotel (District 1) said that so far, it is forecasted that the room occupancy rate will reach 98% on the April 30 holiday, exceeding the current 80%, and significantly higher than the same period last year (70%).

Since the beginning of March, the hotel has implemented a peak staffing plan, increasing the workforce in all departments. Of which, the housekeeping department has increased the most by 20% to 65 people, followed by the kitchen and restaurant departments. In response to the large number of guests, the reception and security departments have also increased to 50 people. In addition, the hotel has also added 20 seasonal employees, an increase of 33% over the same period.

"We also simultaneously deployed technical system maintenance and facility upgrades.

We see this year's April 30 holiday not only as an opportunity to serve customers better, but also as an occasion to honor the culture, cuisine and spirit of national unity," said a hotel representative.

Notably, the Rooftop Grand Lounge area - which regularly hosts special art and culinary programs - has been comprehensively renovated, preparing for a series of events to welcome guests during the holidays.

Rex Hotel Saigon also said that hotel occupancy in April was high, mainly concentrated in the last week of April, so staff were also mobilized in "peak" mode, ready to support tourists quickly and thoughtfully.

Another luxury hotel in the heart of District 1, The Reverie Saigon, is also busy from morning to night during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Staff in key departments have been increased to flexibly support during the peak period.

According to a representative of The Reverie Saigon hotel, thanks to its prime location right in the heart of the city, this place has become the priority choice of many tourists, thanks to the hotel being located next to the main roads - where the city's key parades take place, including Nguyen Hue and Ton Duc Thang streets, right in front of the hotel.

This is a rare advantage for visitors to easily observe activities from above, privately and also easily join the crowd if they want to enjoy it directly.

"In the evening, when the city sky is lit up with fireworks and a spectacular drone show by the river, our rooms and restaurants continue to be ideal viewing spots, offering a sophisticated and distinctive festive experience," said a representative of the hotel.

As of April 17, the number of guests booking rooms per night and the apartment complex is increasing steadily, especially in the days leading up to the April 30 and May 1 holidays. This shows that the demand for accommodation right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City is becoming more and more vibrant, as this year the city has many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

Similarly, although not located on the parade route, thanks to its high visibility, Vinpearl Landmark 81 Hotel, Autograph Collection has an impressive view and has also become an attractive destination during this year's holiday.

In particular, the Oriental Pearl restaurant on the 66th floor of the building also recorded a surge in bookings not only from tourists, but also from local residents. "This April, we also offer incentives for diners coming to Ho Chi Minh City to experience the April 30 festival activities.

Accordingly, guests enjoying the diverse buffet will be served unlimited red wine, white wine and beer with each dinner," said a hotel representative.

The hotel has also recently refreshed its famous skyscraper pho menu with premium ingredients from Japan - premium Satsuma Wagyu beef.

Majestic Saigon Hotel, which welcomes more than 80% of international guests, has added afternoon tea and Vietnamese cuisine services in April. It also sells dinner buffets and breakfast combos. These services require a significant increase in staff, and the hotel has been arranging additional staff for several days now.

According to Mia Saigon representative, although the hotel increases staff to serve services, it does not charge extra for holidays.
