Regarding this issue, Vietnam Social Security responds as follows:
According to the provisions of Clause 17, Article 1 of Law No. 51/2024/QH15 amending and supplementing Article 22 of the Law on Health Insurance and Clause 1, Article 1 of Decree No. 02/2025/ND-CP dated January 1, 2025 of the Government, in case your child (belonging to the group of children under 6 years old) goes for medical examination and treatment according to the provisions of Articles 26 and 27 of the Law on Health Insurance (at the place of initial registration for health insurance examination and treatment, transferred to a health insurance examination and treatment facility according to regulations), the health insurance fund will pay 100% of the cost of medical examination and treatment within the scope of payment of the health insurance fund and the payment rate for drugs, medical equipment, and technical services will not apply.
However, because the information you provided is incomplete about your child's medical examination and treatment, such as the hospital where your child was treated, the health insurance examination and treatment procedures, etc., the Social Insurance Agency does not have enough basis to specifically answer your question. We suggest that you bring all the records of your child's health insurance examination and treatment to the Social Insurance Agency near your place of residence for inspection, verification and answers.
