Having only bloomed for two weeks, the butterfly flower garden at the lonely tree destination of Ta Xua ( Son La ) is about to wither because many tourists step on the flowers to take pictures.

On January 10, in the Ta Xua travel review group on Facebook, there was a post with the content: "So sad everyone. I've been home for two days, and all my flowers have been trampled like this. I spent so much effort and time taking care of them to give you a beautiful photo, but everyone trampled all my flowers. Really sad."
According to Ms. Vu Thi Pang - the owner of the flower garden, growing any kind of flower at the Ta Xua lonely tree spot is difficult because there is no water on the mountain. Ms. Pang has to buy gasoline to run a generator to pump water to water the flowers.
After more than 2 months of sowing and fertilizing, the butterfly flower beds have just begun to bloom.

"Before, there was only one lonely tree here. I planted more flowers with the hope that women who like taking photos would have more check-in spots. That's my passion. People stepping on flowers to take photos makes me very sad.
However, not all customers are like that, but this will be a lesson for me to know how to protect the flower garden next time," Ms. Pang confided.
Under Ms. Pang's post, netizens expressed regret and condemned the lack of awareness of some tourists when visiting and traveling, causing the flower garden to be destroyed.
Some people also suggested that garden owners should put up signs saying "No picking, breaking, or stepping on flowers to take pictures", or impose fines on visitors who do not comply.

Having been to Ta Xua many times, Ngoc Anh really likes the majestic scenery of Ta Xua's dinosaur spine and the cultural life of the local people.
"Every tourist should be aware and responsible for protecting the landscape when traveling. Just because you spend 10,000 VND to buy a ticket to take pictures does not give you the right to step on flowers like that.
Looking at the carpet of bright pink butterfly flowers amidst the green of the mountains and forests is so beautiful, I feel so sorry that before I could check in, the flower garden was ruined like that," Ngoc Anh shared.
Previously, stories about littering on trekking routes were also reported by many local tour guides, calling on tourists to raise awareness when experiencing and exploring .
