Simons could leave Leipzig this summer.

The British press recently discovered that Simons had deleted Leipzig from his Instagram bio, a move that showed the Dutchman's determination to move to Chelsea.

Simons once shared with the German media that he wanted to leave Leipzig before the end of the 2024/25 season. Simons' ambition immediately caught the attention of Chelsea. "The Blues" are also considered an ideal destination for the young Dutch star.

In the 2024/25 season, Simons scored 10 Bundesliga goals in just 25 appearances, surpassing his record of 8 goals in the 2023/24 season. The 2003-born player showed great potential and was highly appreciated by Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca.

Bild say Leipzig are demanding £60m from any club interested in signing Simons. Simons' agent Ali Barat is said to have close ties with Chelsea and the two sides are working to agree personal terms soon.

The Sun reports that Chelsea are willing to let Armando Broja and Carney Chukwuemeka leave to reduce Simons' transfer fee, but Leipzig are not keen on the idea.

Simons is also the most expensive signing in Leipzig's history (43 million pounds). If the full add-ons are paid, this figure will rise to 70 million pounds.

PSG suffered a crushing defeat to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final. Early morning on July 14, PSG lost to Chelsea 0-3 in the match to decide the Club World Cup title.
