Sao Do Ward is the only locality in Chi Linh City where livestock farming is not permitted throughout the entire ward because it is an inner-city area with no remaining land for agricultural production.
The remaining 13 wards are not allowed to raise livestock in 93 areas due to not meeting the necessary conditions. Of these, Van An ward has the most with 15 areas, followed by Cong Hoa ward with 12 areas; and Tan Dan ward has the fewest with only one residential area, Tu Giang.
Upon review, Chi Linh City has 28 livestock farming households with a total area of over 10,800 m² located in areas not suitable for livestock farming. These areas currently house 291 pigs, 14,600 poultry, and 57 buffaloes and cows… Cong Hoa Ward has the highest number of households in prohibited livestock farming areas, with 13 out of 28 households, accounting for 46.4% of the households in prohibited livestock farming areas in Chi Linh City.
On November 14th, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution stipulating that livestock farming is prohibited in urban areas of cities, towns, and residential areas, and outlining support policies for relocating livestock facilities out of these prohibited areas in Hai Duong province. The regulation takes effect from November 24th.
