Experience watching the parade on September 2

Residents and tourists should be present at the parade routes 4-6 hours before the road closure to get a good viewing spot. Otherwise, standing on the outer ring will have a more limited view.

To choose a nice location without crowding, people and tourists can choose hotel rooms or motels with a view of the parade area to have the best view. Note that on the official parade day, shops in the area where the parade passes will not operate, or will only be open indoors, serving seats on the first floor.

Before going to the parade, people and tourists should keep track of the time and the locations of the road closures to move in advance, avoiding having to walk too far. It is advisable to use public transport, avoid private vehicles to minimize traffic congestion during this time.

People and tourists need to follow the instructions of the authorities, do not bring bulky items or prohibited items to the ceremony, do not litter. Give up your seat to veterans, the elderly and children. Behave in a civilized manner when watching parades and marches.

Great places to watch the parade A80

Due to the long parade routes with many different parades, residents and visitors can choose any point along these routes to watch the event. However, there are still some central locations that allow spectators to watch the event most completely.

Accordingly, in the central location, the Hung Vuong - Tran Phu intersection is located near the stage, where viewers can watch most of the parades.

On Nguyen Thai Hoc axis, the section around 143 towards Le Duan is where the groups start turning to the assembly point. This is also where the international parade passes through.

In addition, visitors can choose intersection areas, where there is a large space, many high points to be able to see the whole view such as Tran Phu - Nguyen Tri Phuong intersection, Cua Nam - Trang Thi - Tho Nhuom area, Hang Khay - Trang Tien route, Kim Ma - Doi Can - Lieu Giai - Van Cao...

August Revolution Square (in front of the Opera House) and Quan Ngua Stadium are where the groups gather behind the stage, providing opportunities to interact and take photos with the soldiers. In addition, along the route from Hanoi Railway Station to Thong Nhat Park, some parade groups gather in the park. People can get closer to these forces.

Things to bring when going to a parade

The celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) are solemn events of national significance. Therefore, people and visitors attending the event should dress politely, neatly, and comfortably.

On this occasion, many people choose patriotic outfits such as ao dai, t-shirts or scarves with red flags and yellow stars..., carrying banners, slogans, and flags to join in the joyful atmosphere of the capital on this important occasion.

You should wear sneakers or flat shoes to make it easier to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances without hurting your feet.

The event lasts for several hours, so people should bring wide-brimmed hats, small umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun, and raincoats in case of sudden weather changes.

If you are traveling with small children, it is also necessary to prepare a hat or a thin jacket. Note to choose a light, easy-to-fold hat to make it easier to move in a crowd.

Due to the large number of people, buying and selling food and drinks on these streets is often inconvenient. Therefore, take the initiative to bring food and drinks to avoid having to travel far to shop.

For families with small children, you can prepare more milk or canned fruit juice. You should choose a small, compact bottle with a tight screw cap, and food that is easy to preserve for easy storage in a handbag or backpack.

Bring your phone or camera to capture beautiful memories for yourself and your loved ones. Prioritize compact, easy-to-carry devices. Before leaving, remember to fully charge the battery, prepare a spare battery if needed. At the same time, in a crowd, be careful when using the device to avoid losing or colliding.

Avoid carrying too many bulky items because it will be inconvenient in the crowd. Remember to bring a trash bag to dispose of at the right collection place or take it home or hotel to handle.
