At the recent Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, Mazda officially introduced the CX-60 Sport to consumers in the most populous country in Southeast Asia. In terms of appearance, the CX-60 has overall dimensions of 4,740 x 1,890 x 1,683 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. This size is significantly larger than the CX-5, opening up more spacious space for both the passenger compartment and luggage.
The only difference is that this version is equipped with 18-inch 5-spoke wheels with 235/60 R18 tires, instead of the 20-inch multi-spoke type on the higher version. The smaller wheels help increase smoothness but at the same time reduce ground clearance to 174 mm. In addition, the car also has automatic anti-glare and position memory features for the exterior rearview mirrors, or shiny chrome accents in many locations have been removed. The car still has equipment such as: full-LED lights, automatic wipers, panoramic sunroof and electric trunk with kick-open function. Inside the cabin, the Mazda CX-60 Sport has high-end equipment such as: 12.3-inch digital dashboard, 12.3-inch central screen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection, 12-speaker Bose sound system, HUD screen, dual-zone independent air conditioning and Qi standard wireless phone charging.
The seats are upholstered in black leather, perforated with vents and embroidered with bronze stitching. The car has electric front seats, the driver's seat has a memory position but no longer has the cooling function of the high-end version. The rear seats are equipped with separate air vents, USB charging ports, a center armrest and can be reclined in two steps, this is a worthy improvement compared to the CX-5. Powering the CX-60 Sport is a 2.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 185 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The significant difference is the drivetrain. Instead of the all-wheel drive (AWD) system on the Pro version, the CX-60 Sport is only equipped with rear-wheel drive. This helps keep the price down, but at the same time, the car no longer has an Off-road driving mode and hill descent control.
Mazda still maintains the i-Activsense safety package for the CX-60 Sport. The car has 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera with “underbody” view, front/rear sensors and driver assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking in the front and rear. The Mazda CX-60 Sport is priced at 718.8 million Rupiah (equivalent to 1.15 billion VND), significantly cheaper than the Pro version (1.3 billion VND) and approaching the price of the highest-end CX-5 version (1.09 billion VND). It is predicted that this model will be launched in the Vietnamese market in the near future.
