To celebrate the premiere and promotion of "The Devil Wears Prada 2," the German luxury car manufacturer has created a special edition called the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 Night Series. This unique ultra-luxury sedan boasts exclusive upgrades, reflecting the extravagance of fashion mogul Miranda Priestly in the film. The Mercedes-Maybach S 580 Night Series, showcased at film promotional events, boasts exclusive design elements. The first striking exterior feature is the striking combination of two contrasting colors: Kalahari Gold and Obsidian Black. This is a special pairing from the Manufaktur personalization program, not typically applied to the Night Series package.
Compared to the standard versions, this special Mercedes-Maybach S 580 Night Series variant features many black-painted details such as the grille, the brand logo on the C-pillar, and the luggage compartment area. The car is equipped with 20-inch, seven-spoke black alloy wheels, incorporating the distinctive Maybach monogram pattern. The film's influence is clearly evident in the stylized red high-heeled shoe emblem positioned just behind the front wheel arches.
At the same time, the car bears a personalized license plate registered in New York with the words "THTSALL," an abbreviation of the classic line "That's All" from the main character Miranda Priestly.
The cabin of this unique model features premium Nappa Exclusive leather in Macchiato Beige, combined with herringbone wood trim. The title of the film "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is prominently embossed on the front seat armrest. The car features a four-seat configuration with two business-class seats in the rear, and the headrests and back cushions are embroidered with motifs inspired by the artwork. Additionally, the silver champagne glasses, custom-made by Robbe & Berking for this project, are engraved with the trident symbol and the number 2. In terms of performance, the car boasts a 4.0L V8 engine, producing a maximum power of 537 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm. Currently, the German automaker has not yet announced plans to commercialize this unique version for collectors. Besides the real-life promotional version, the character of fashion mogul Miranda Priestly in the film is also associated with another top-of-the-line sedan, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, in Hightech Silver paint.
Unlike the S 580 version, the S 680 is equipped with a larger displacement V12 engine, producing a maximum power of up to 630 horsepower. In the German market, this ultra-luxury sedan has a starting price of around 235,000 Euros (approximately 7.2 billion VND). The future of this special edition Mercedes-Maybach S 580 "The Devil Wears Prada 2" luxury sedan remains a mystery, and it is currently unclear whether the German luxury car manufacturer will expand production of this unique sedan for collectors.
