Candidates applying for the exam must meet the requirements for conduct and academic performance for the entire year of junior high school classes, and a graduation grade of good or higher. Last year, the Foreign Language Specialized High School had the second highest competition rate in Hanoi with 1/16 students admitted to the French specialized class.
