After rising in the early morning of April 25th, domestic gold prices reversed course and fell by 1 million VND per ounce later that day.

This development originated from the international market. At just after 2 PM, the world gold price was trading at $3,313.5 per ounce, a decrease of more than $30 per ounce compared to nearly 9 AM the same day. During the session, the price of gold briefly dropped sharply to $3,286 per ounce.

The world gold price, converted to Vietnamese currency, is approximately 16 million VND/ounce lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, at the same time, Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. listed the price of plain gold rings at 116.5 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 119.5 million VND/ounce (selling price), a decrease of 1 million VND/ounce in both directions compared to the morning of the same day.

The price of SJC gold bars here also decreased by 1 million VND/ounce in both directions, down to 118.5 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 120.5 million VND/ounce (selling price).

Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) has lowered the price of SJC gold bars to 118.5 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 120.5 million VND/ounce (selling price), 1 million VND/ounce lower in each direction compared to the morning of the same day.

This business reduced the price of gold rings by 1.5 million VND/ounce in both directions, down to 112.5 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 115.5 million VND/ounce (selling price).

Thus, with the above developments, compared to the end of yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars remained unchanged in some places, while it decreased by 500,000 VND/ounce on the buying side. Meanwhile, on the selling side, the price of gold decreased by 500,000-1,500,000 VND/ounce. The price of gold rings decreased by 500,000-1,000,000 VND/ounce.
