According to artist Dao Bach Linh (also known as Linh Xam), Hai Phong Xam singing has officially resumed performances for the public and tourists after a period of interruption. According to the plan, performances will take place from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday evening at the foot of the statue of General Le Chan.
The first performance since the show's return took place on the evening of March 7, 2026.

Xam singing is a folk art form originating from the Northern Delta and the northern mountainous regions of Vietnam, with a long history in folk life. With the accompaniment of the two-stringed fiddle, the zither, and the ceremonial drum, along with simple lyrics reflecting social life, Xam singing contributes to enriching cultural life and preserving traditional artistic identity.

The person who played a major role in reviving Xam singing in Hai Phong is artisan Dao Bach Linh, the head of the Hai Thanh Xam Singing Club and also the owner of the Hai Phong Xam Troupe. In recent years, the Hai Phong Xam Troupe has regularly performed in public spaces and traditional festivals, contributing to bringing folk art closer to locals and tourists. However, due to difficulties in finding suitable venues, the performance has been interrupted at times.

Following the directive of Mr. Le Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, at the consultation meeting on the development of the "City of Music" project on March 3rd, regarding creating conditions for folk art activities to be organized in public spaces, Hai Phong Xam (traditional Vietnamese folk singing) performances have been restored and will continue to be held regularly to serve the community.
