(Chinhphu.vn) - The Government issued Resolution No. 151/NQ-CP dated May 26, 2025, unifying the content of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 Laws submitted by the Ministry of National Defense.

The Government agrees on the content of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 Laws on military and national defense.

Specifically, the Government has agreed on the content of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on National Defense; Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Law on Professional Soldiers, Workers and National Defense Officials; Law on Military Service; Law on Vietnam Border Guard; Law on People's Air Defense; Law on Reserve Forces; Law on Civil Defense; Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces; Law on National Defense and Security Education submitted by the Ministry of National Defense .

The Government assigns the Minister of National Defense to be responsible for receiving comments from Government members, completing the dossier of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on National Defense; Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army; Law on Professional Soldiers, Workers and National Defense Officials; Law on Military Service; Law on Vietnam Border Guard; Law on People's Air Defense; Law on Reserve Forces; Law on Civil Defense; Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces; Law on National Defense and SecurityEducation ; on behalf of the Government, authorized by the Prime Minister, to sign the Government's Submission and related documents to submit to the National Assembly as prescribed.

At the same time, the Minister of National Defense shall closely coordinate with the agencies of the National Assembly; proactively report and explain during the examination process, receive opinions from the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly on the draft Law in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents and be responsible for the content of the report.
