Waiting for the performance of Dong Nai Club stars

In preparation for the new season, Dong Nai Club has had many training trips and friendly matches domestically to review its forces.

After changing its name from Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, the Southeast team brought in a series of stars who used to play for the national team, aiming for promotion to the V-League.

Before the 2025-2026 season, Dong Nai Club was given priority to participate in V-League, replacing Quang Nam Club. However, due to lack of human resources and preparation time, Coach Nguyen Viet Thang's team gave up the position to PVF-CAND.

To prepare for the goal of competing for the "throne" of the National First Division this time, Dong Nai Club brought in many high-class players who have played in the V-League for many years, such as: Luong Xuan Truong, Tran Minh Vuong, Le Van Son, Nguyen Huu Tuan, Nguyen Thanh Thao, Tran Quang Thinh or Duong Van Khoa. This group of players combined with valuable veterans such as Nguyen Cong Phuong, Le Thanh Binh, Huynh Tan Sinh, Bui Tan Truong, Sam Ngoc Duc... turned Dong Nai Club into a miniature national team.

With a squad of stars with deep professional quality, coach Nguyen Viet Thang's team is considered the top candidate for promotion to V-League at the end of this season. However, to prove their true ability, Dong Nai Club needs to create an impressive performance when hosting Becamex TP HCM Club in the 2025-2026 National Cup qualifying round at 7:15 p.m. on September 14 (FPT Play).

In the departure ceremony on September 9, Dong Nai Club even set a goal of winning against Becamex TP HCM to create momentum for the long journey ahead.

In preparation for the new season, Dong Nai Club has had many training trips and friendly matches in the country to review the force and build a complete framework. The reunion of the "Hoang Anh Gia Lai" players who used to play for the Vietnam national team will also create a new identity for the Southeast team this time.
