Right after the iPhone 17 Pro Max officially went on sale globally, designer Thang Eric, founder of G'Ace International, announced the world 's first Bespoke version of Apple's latest technological masterpiece called "MONARCH".
Gold-plated iPhone 17 Pro Max
This gold-plated iPhone 17 Pro Max is completely handcrafted in 33 hours.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max MONARCH will be limited to just 199 units worldwide. Each product is numbered and comes with an exclusive certificate from G'Ace International.
Compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, a model that G'Ace gold-plated in 2024 with a completion time of 7 days, this year's iPhone 17 Pro Max version marks a step forward in technology, materials and speed of implementation.
Designer Thang Eric with the gold-plated iPhone 17 Pro Max
Craftsman Thang Eric said that the 9-member team of G'Ace worked continuously for 33 hours without a break, from the moment they took apart the original dark blue iPhone 17 Pro Max until they completed the first Bespoke piece.
To create the product, the manufacturing process begins with carefully disassembling all external details, including: frame, camera border, buttons and back cover.
According to Thang Eric, one of the biggest challenges was processing the frame made of series 7 aluminum alloy, the material that Apple uses for the exterior details on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. To re-manufacture this frame, G'Ace had to use extremely sophisticated micro-polishing techniques to remove the anodize layer without affecting the mechanical precision of the components.
After surface treatment, the frame is plated with 18K rose gold, creating a luxurious "coat" while still maintaining uniformity and optimal color adhesion.
Craftsman Thang Eric decided to completely replace the back cover with 304L stainless steel, CNC-cut precisely to the original size, then manually polished many times to a mirror-like reflection, and finally gold-plated to ensure luxury as well as maximum durability for the most vulnerable part of the phone.
Gold-plated iPhone 17 Pro Max back
G'Ace has re-crafted the entire iPhone 17 Pro Max triple camera bezels using Titanium Grade 5, a super light, super durable material that is usually only used in the aviation and medical industries.
Each bezel is micro-polished and gold-plated, with some premium versions even set with natural diamonds on the outer ring.
The physical buttons on the latest generation iPhone - from the volume button, power button to the Action key - are all replaced with details made from Titanium Grade 5.
The Apple logo on the back is also re-crafted by G'Ace from titanium, manufactured using CNC precision mechanical technology from monolithic materials and has the option of being studded with diamonds or solid gold, according to individual orders.
G'Ace commits to a comprehensive 2-year warranty on the manufacturing part, including the gold plating. The price of this product ranges from 149 - 159 million VND, depending on the version.
