BTO-This afternoon (May 5), the Office of the National Committee for Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue sent a telegram to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Binh to Kien Giang and related ministries and branches on proactively responding to the developments of the tropical depression near the East Sea.
Accordingly, provinces and cities need to closely monitor the developments of natural disasters. Organize the counting and strict management of vehicles going out to sea, notify owners of vehicles, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of natural disasters to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas. Previously, according to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 a.m. on May 5, a tropical depression near the East Sea was active in the central Philippines at coordinates 10 degrees North latitude, 119.2 degrees East longitude; wind force level 6, gust level 8. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will enter the East Sea, traveling 10km per hour, with little change in intensity. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the eastern region of the central and southern East Sea.
