Vietnam-Korea Festival in Da Nang City

The event was organized by the Da Nang City People's Committee in coordination with the Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang, and agencies and organizations in Da Nang and South Korea.

The Vietnam-Korea Festival in Da Nang City in 2025, building on the success of previous festivals, marks an important milestone in initiating a new era of cooperation between the reunified city of Da Nang and its Korean partners. This year's event is larger in scale and more diverse in content, aiming for deeper ties between the two countries in the fields of economics , trade, tourism, science and technology, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

According to Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee: In just 7 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed over 1 million South Korean tourists. The city continues to affirm its position as the most favorite destination for South Korean tourists in Vietnam. On this occasion, the city also organized a ceremony to welcome the 1 millionth South Korean visitor to Da Nang in 2025.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Chang Ho-Seung, Counselor and Consul General of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, expressed his delight that the Vietnam-Korea Festival in Da Nang has entered its fourth year. Mr. Chang Ho-Seung shared: This is the first Vietnam-Korea Festival held in the newly formed city of Da Nang, after its merger with the former Quang Nam province, becoming a large city in Vietnam. Da Nang is emerging as a key growth center of Vietnam in many fields such as economics, trade, logistics, and tourism .

Mr. Chang Ho-Seung emphasized that the Vietnam-Korea relationship has achieved significant accomplishments over the past three decades. With over 500,000 people living in both countries, this serves as a solid bridge for bilateral cooperation. In Da Nang alone, by 2024, there are approximately 335 Korean investment projects with a total registered capital of about US$2.2 billion. Mr. Chang Ho-Seung expressed confidence that the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Korean local governments will deepen further in the future.

This year's festival will last until August 3rd, with many diverse activities such as: 80 booths showcasing the unique culture, products, and services of both countries; an exhibition of Vietnam-Korea cooperation achievements; a cultural experience space, Taekwondo classes, Vietnamese-Korean cooking classes, K-pop dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, and especially nightly art programs featuring art troupes from both countries.

According to Mr. Chang Ho-Seung, the Korean Embassy and Consulate General in Vietnam will continue to accompany and support the promotion of friendly relations and local cooperation between the two countries; hoping that through the festival, the people of the two countries will gain a better understanding, goodwill, and stronger bond, working together towards a shared prosperous future.
