BSR Chairman reviews overall work to restart Dung Quat Biofuel Plant

On September 4, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) directly reviewed the restart of Dung Quat Biofuel Plant and emphasized the determination to complete maintenance and restart the plant in November 2025.

According to the report at the meeting, all maintenance work is being urgently deployed with the goal of completion before October 31, 2025. Key items, especially in the power - steam workshop, are being prioritized. The main power station has been completed and put into operation, ensuring stable power supply for the entire factory. Progress is being controlled every day, mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment to meet the plan.

BSR Chairman Bui Ngoc Duong led a working group to review the restart of Dung Quat Biofuel Plant.

Speaking at the meeting, BSR Chairman Bui Ngoc Duong emphasized that the restart of Dung Quat Biofuel Plant is a strategic task, closely linked to the green transformation orientation of Petrovietnam and BSR. Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong requested the units to focus highly and coordinate closely to ensure progress while strictly following safety and quality procedures to put the plant into operation as planned, contributing to the stable supply of biofuel to the market and affirming the pioneering role in clean energy development.

The restart of Dung Quat Biofuel Plant will be implemented in November 2025 to produce ethanol for blending E10 biofuel, contributing to completing the Government 's roadmap on using E10 biofuel.

When it resumes operations, Dung Quat Biofuel Plant will join Dung Quat Oil Refinery to form a synchronous production and supply chain, meeting domestic biofuel demand. This is not only an important step in the green energy transition roadmap but also affirms BSR's determination to develop sustainably, be environmentally friendly and make practical contributions to national energy security.
