People-centered, the goal of development

The President emphasized that this congress is a special milestone for Phu Tho province, three months after its establishment on the basis of merging the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh .

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee and people of Phu Tho province have achieved many important results. In particular, the economy grew by an average of 7.5%, higher than the national average.

Phu Tho currently has the 15th largest area, 11th largest population and 6th largest economic scale out of 34 provinces and cities, leading the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

The investment and business environment has been improved, the infrastructure system has been invested synchronously, the appearance of urban and rural areas has improved; education, healthcare, science and technology have made many outstanding advances; social security has been ensured, the poverty rate has decreased rapidly...

However, according to the President, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome. Typically: some socio-economic indicators have not been achieved; potential and advantages have not been fully exploited; growth quality is not sustainable; state management is still inadequate; the poverty rate in ethnic minority and mountainous areas is still high.

According to the set goal, by 2030, Phu Tho will become the center of industry, trade, logistics, tourism, education and training of the region; by 2045, it will become a city directly under the Central Government.

To achieve this, the President requested the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee to focus on directing the improvement of leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations; and building a truly streamlined, effective, efficient, and people-friendly two-level local government.

At the same time, focus on developing science and technology and digital transformation, creating a foundation for rapid and sustainable development; promote the development of the private economic sector to truly become an important driving force of the economy; strengthen regional development linkages in the spirit of Resolution 11 of the Politburo.

The President also noted that it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the spirit of not trading off the environment, culture and social security for mere growth; the development process must take people as the center, the goal and the subject of all development strategies...

The Phu Tho Provincial Party Executive Committee consists of 97 members.

At the congress, the leaders of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decisions on personnel work.

Accordingly, the Politburo appointed 97 officials to the Party Executive Committee and 27 officials to the Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The Deputy Secretaries of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term include 6 men and women: Bui Van Quang, Tran Duy Dong, Bui Duc Hinh, Bui Huy Vinh, Bui Thi Minh and Nguyen Manh Son.

Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

New Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy said that the congress will seriously absorb the President's instructions to supplement the resolution and action program, concretizing them into tasks and solutions to build Phu Tho to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

According to Mr. Huy, Phu Tho is the homeland of the Vietnamese people, a place with a heroic historical and cultural tradition, an important strategic position, and many potentials and advantages for socio-economic development.

In the new position assigned by the Politburo, he realized that in order to successfully complete the task, he must first maintain solidarity, unity, and working principles of the collective; uphold the sense of responsibility and be a good example for the leader; and at the same time inherit and promote the achievements and experiences of the previous generation of leaders.
