Tay Ninh is a border province, with a 240km long land border bordering 3 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with 3 international border gates (Moc Bai, Xa Mat and Tan Nam), 3 main border gates, 11 secondary border gates and many trails and openings; playing an important role in the strategic direction of the Southwest of the Fatherland. Moc Bai border gate is the largest international road border gate in the South, on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border, with an important strategic position in terms of national security and defense, is the gateway to the Southern Key Economic Zone, plays an important role in building and developing an open economy, and develops towards becoming an international trade center. Trade relations with ASEAN countries through import and export are increasingly expanding; security and order in the border gate area are ensured. Moc Bai border gate economic zone has attracted 56 investment projects , including 19 FDI projects with a total capital of more than 400 million USD and 37 domestic investment projects with a registered capital of 8,600 billion VND .

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the active contributions of the forces in organizing, managing, coordinating and operating the Moc Bai international border gate. The results of coordination with Cambodian functional forces have actively supported people and businesses in carrying out customs clearance procedures in accordance with regulations, quickly and promptly. The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the strategic development orientation of the Moc Bai border gate economic zone to promote socio-economic development, foreign economic relations, and enhance comprehensive connectivity between Vietnam, Cambodia and ASEAN.

The National Assembly Chairman said that in addition to the cooperation mechanism between the heads of the three Parties and three Governments, the first CLV Summit of the National Assembly was recently a great success, becoming an important milestone, opening a new page in cooperation between the three legislative bodies, completing the "three peaks of the triangle" of the CLV cooperation mechanism. Believing that in order to promote cooperation with Cambodia, in addition to strengthening political trust and friendship, economic and trade efficiency is very important, the National Assembly Chairman hopes that the functional forces will focus on creating the most favorable conditions for trade of goods between the two countries.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the forces on duty at the Moc Bai international border gate to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement resolutions, conclusions and directives on military and national defense work, especially the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation. Firmly protect independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development. Mobilize each citizen to be a border protection landmark; step up the fight against crime, ensure security, social order and safety for people crossing the border gate.

Highlighting the future development orientation of Moc Bai economic zone, the National Assembly Chairman said that according to the recently approved provincial planning, the policy is to build Moc Bai mixed economic zone, which is an important growth pole of the province. In addition, it is necessary to focus on developing border gate economy and border trade economy in accordance with Vietnamese law and international practices; have effective solutions to promote customs clearance of goods across the border, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vietnam and Cambodia; strengthen administrative reform, especially import-export and immigration management procedures in a simple and modern direction, promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in performing tasks.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested units to focus on doing well the mass mobilization work in the new situation, implementing well the National Target Programs; eliminating hunger and reducing poverty sustainably, caring for the poor to have a stable life, narrowing the social gap. In the immediate future, taking care of the people, especially policy families, people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households to have a warm, joyful, safe and healthy Tet Giap Thin as the Party's policy is "leaving no one behind".
