VIC 2025 continues the annual conference series from 2022, becoming a prestigious professional forum on Internet technology and engineering, bringing together international organizations such as ICANN, APNIC, PCH and many large technology corporations such as AWS, Cloudflare, VNPT, Viettel . This year's theme focuses on the Industrial Internet (IIoT) - the next step of the Internet, connecting robots, sensors, big data into the smart production chain, creating momentum for innovation and economic growth.
According to The Business Research Company's forecast, the global IIoT market could reach 280 billion USD by 2025 and 480 billion USD by 2029. Vietnam, with the orientation of national digital transformation according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW, is promoting the development of digital infrastructure and IPv6 application. By June 2025, the IPv6 rate in Vietnam reached 65.5%, ranking 7th globally. In the period of 2026 - 2030, VNNIC aims to deploy IPv6 only, opening up space for the development of industrial Internet and new digital services.
The conference brought together many international and domestic speakers, including Professor Jun Murai, Keio University (Japan) - "Father of the Japanese Internet", presenting a global vision of an Internet of Things society; Mr. Bill Woodcock, CEO of Packet Clearing House (PCH), sharing about Cloud, data and Internet infrastructure in the context of the Industrial Internet; Mr. Sutrisno Xu, Director of Business Development for Southeast Asia of Pegatron, presenting a practical perspective and 5G deployment strategy for the Industrial Internet. Many experts from ICANN, APNIC, and large technology enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone, CMC , HPE, Schneider, Juniper also participated in in-depth discussions.

Within the framework of the event, VIC 2025 took place with many outstanding activities: a workshop for students on Internet governance and the development of the industrial Internet; two technical workshops on DNS and IPv6 only for state officials and businesses; a plenary session with the theme "Vision and strategy of the industrial Internet - core infrastructure of modern production" and a discussion on "Solutions for developing the industrial Internet, connecting science and technology - innovation - digital transformation"; two thematic sessions on developing new-generation Internet infrastructure, IPv6 - the foundation for IIoT and safe and reliable Internet operations in the era of the industrial Internet.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Deputy Director of VNNIC emphasized: "Industrial Internet is not only a trend, but also a core foundation for growth model innovation, production modernization, urban development, transportation, and smart healthcare. This requires the Internet to be bigger, faster, smarter, and more secure. A strong, open, and reliable Internet infrastructure is a prerequisite for Vietnam to master technology and connect globally."
