The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the preparations for the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030

On October 12, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai inspected the preparation of activities and environmental sanitation work to serve the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 (Congress). Accompanying the delegation was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi.

Accordingly, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai inspected the preparations for the inauguration of Phan Ngoc Hien Square and the area displaying and exhibiting images, artifacts, and documents of the Party Congress through the periods, displaying OCOP products and achievements in socio-economic development of Ca Mau province; environmental sanitation work along the route to the venue of events welcoming the Congress and the Congress venue.

After inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently direct the completion of the remaining work to serve the display and exhibition as planned.

In the work of ensuring environmental sanitation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment together with the provincial departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of wards; Ca Mau Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to coordinate well in collecting and promptly handling waste, not allowing backlogs, causing unsanitary conditions and environmental pollution; organize tree care in the areas and along the route to the venue of events to welcome the Congress, the place where the Congress is held, especially the areas around the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Convention Center.

Regarding the local flooding on some roads in recent days, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the People's Committees of wards to find solutions for water drainage, study plans to arrange pumps and dredge manholes, clear sewers, and ensure quick drainage in case of high tides combined with heavy rain.

There is not much time left for the events to welcome the Congress and organize the Congress. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested agencies, units and localities to urgently coordinate to implement work contents, ensure conditions for activities and events to take place as planned, contributing to the success of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
