On December 20th, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, signed Decision No. 7896-QD/TU to consolidate the Steering Committee for Program No. 04-CTr/TU of the City Party Committee on "Promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program for building new rural areas in conjunction with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy, improving the material and spiritual lives of farmers in the period 2021-2025".
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee decided to appoint Comrade Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee - as the Head of the Steering Committee for Program No. 04-CTr/TU of the 17th City Party Committee on "Promoting the effective implementation of the National Target Program for building new rural areas associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy , improving the material and spiritual lives of farmers in the period 2021-2025" (replacing Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen who has transferred to another position).
The City Party Committee's Program No. 04-CTr/TU for the period 2021-2025 has three main objectives: Building a more practical, effective, and sustainable new rural area linked to the urbanization process; restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy; and improving the material and spiritual lives of farmers.
Currently, Hanoi has 18 out of 18 districts and towns meeting the standards for new rural areas, including two districts that have achieved advanced new rural area standards: Thanh Tri and Gia Lam. In addition, the city has more than 188 communes that have achieved advanced new rural area standards and more than 76 communes that have achieved model new rural area standards.
