"For more than a month now, our room occupancy rate has been over 90%, even during New Year's Eve, we were fully booked since last month. The business situation at Sunset Town is currently very favorable" - Ms. Tran Kieu Loan, owner of Casepia Hotel shared.
"The rate of guests staying at our facility in December this year and January 2025 reached over 90%, even 100% on some days. This year's guests are three to four times higher than last year, especially foreign guests who account for 70%," said Mr. Vu Cuong, owner of Times Corner Hotel.
Many mini hotels in Hoang Hon Town reached 100% occupancy during the New Year holiday.
According to a survey of more than 40 accommodation establishments in Bai Kem and Hoang Hon Town, during Christmas and New Year, from high-end segments such as New World Phu Quoc Resort, Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, La Festa Phu Quoc - Curio Collection By Hilton... to 3-4 star hotels or mini hotels, most of them are fully booked. And for several months now, the room booking rate has never dropped below 80%.
"I planned the trip a month ago, choosing Hoang Hon Town because there are many new shows, near Bai Kem but there are not many room options left. My friend even joked that finding a satisfactory room in Hoang Hon Town is like playing the lottery," the interesting comparison of Ms. Minh Ngoc, a tourist from Hanoi, showed that the revenue of more than 21,170 billion VND from tourism on Ngoc Island in 2024 is completely realistic.
Hoang Hon Town in particular and Phu Quoc in general are recording a boom in bookings for the holiday. In addition, according to Booking.com, the "pearl island" is in the top 3 destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the Tet holiday, with a growth of 180% over the same period.
During the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, the 5-star hotel segment in Phu Quoc has reached an average occupancy rate of 85%, while the 4-star segment in the center is almost fully booked on major holidays. In the south of the island, villas and resorts are reaching an occupancy rate of over 70%.
